Sub-Zero are known for their dual refrigeration system – the freezer and fresh food part are completely separated, freezer part is kept dry, fresh food part is kept humid. They have two separate quiet compressors with separate temperature controls, no air moisture or food aroma can circulate between the fresh food and freezer parts. According to company, fresh fruits and vegetables can be kept for more than two weeks (compared to one week or so in most refrigerators). According to Sub-Zero survey, an average American family is forced to throw away over $700 worth of food each year due to improper storage.
