James: Good, but could be better with some small changes     ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
First, the only two choices for recommending Frigidaire Gallery FGHB2844LF were "Yes, it's amazing" and "Probably Not". I am somewhere in the middle, but closer to "Probably Not". I think this is a good product, but there are some small things that would make it great. First, it was the largest available, in terms of cubic feet, so that was a plus. The interior design is good, but the configuration of the doors make opening the fruit and meat drawer too much of a challenge. The fan in the freezer area was really noisy when I first bought the product, only to find out the fan is pressed on and not secured in anyway. They replaced it and it is better, but I think the design wasn't well thought out. Overall, it's still a good choice, but the little things move it from a possible "A" to a "C+".

We just moved and have a family of five. Frigidaire Gallery FGHB2844LF meets all of our needs. We read all of the reviews before we purchased even though there were a lot of comments about the lack of ice the fridge produced but we purchased it anyway. We have been VERY pleased and we have NO issues with the ice maker. There is plenty of space in the fridge and freezer.

Frigidaire Gallery FGHB2844LF looks great. My first stainless steel appliance. I like the no-fingerprint finish except for handles. The freezer and fridge area are very spacious (deep). This was also my first french door fridge which I like fine. The biggest problem for us is that it does not produce enough ice. No where near the ice production of our old GE that we had to replace. I don't really care for the positioning of shelving in freezer either (it's hard to get things from back of bottom shelf in freezer. Looks good, and spacious but not that functional.

We purchased the refrigerator to match the stove and microwave we had just installed. The good: The refrigerator looks great. They did a nice job with the stainless protection. Fingerprints are not an issue except on the handles, which are the typical stainless. Overall space is great for this size refrigerator. The icemaker is more compact than others we looked at (but it also doesn't hold as much ice). The not so good: There are a few design items that don't make sense. For example, the right door, which probably gets the most use, is the door with the swivel seal on it. It seems like this would have made more sense on the left door. The doors also close pretty hard (there doesn't seem to be any cushion like other brands). The large drawer only opens about 6 inches, which makes it tough to get anything out of the back. Reliability: I am hoping we just got a lemon, but our refrigerator has been serviced 3 times since getting it 2 months ago and I cannot get it to stay at a reasonable temperature. It wants to stay in the 43-50 degree range in the refrigerator portion regardless of what the settings are. Even without opening the refrigerator for 8-10 hours, the temperature continues in the high temp range. Two control boards have been replaced as well as a thermistor with no luck. It seems to work for a day or two and then goes back to the high temp issue. We are getting a replacement, so hopefully that will take care of the problem.

Frigidaire Gallery FGHB2844LF fridge looks great in our kitchen. Our only disappointment was that the water filtration system does not produce cold water as our old fridge did. Also, there is no built in soda can rack, that should come as a basic feature. Some of our freezer compartment does not work properly (shelving dividers) but I am sure this will be taken care of by the dealer. Overall, quite satisfied.

We purchased Frigidaire Gallery FGHB2844LF because of the space and size of the bottom freezer. My wife had back surgery and this has made a difference of have to retrieve items from the freezer. It's more comfortable and less strain on her. It also has plenty of space in the top also. It truly is a nice appliance. It has made our newly remodeled kitchen look like it belongs in a magazine.

We wanted a fridge that gave us space, without sacrificing the necessities of a freezer. This fridge gave us both the large area to store platters for parties and plenty of storage in the freezer because of the sliding top storage drawer. Not to mention the cheese/meat drawer and veggie drawer keeps our food fresher longer.

Have had Frigidaire Gallery FGHB2844LF refrigerator for a little over a month now and have been pleased with its performance it is a bit noisier than our old one but after a few days you no longer notice it. The few things that I have found that I do not like are the fresh egg area (or lack of it). The water filter being inside the refrigerator, and the ice drop area on the left side door (seems to take up a lot of space). The icemaker is a bit on the picky side. When the ice bin is removed need to be sure it has been pushed all the way in and be sure not to move the auger or it will not make ice. The inside is bright with plenty of open room for a family with 2 teenagers. We love the fact that the outside is easy to clean and looks nice with little effort. Freezer area has plenty of room and lights up just as bright as the refrigerator does, and the drawer makes it easy to keep things in order. I would recommend this model to my friends.

This fridge has a great look and is very stylish....from the choices offered, I would recommend this product to a friend but amazing is a bit too strong. I've shopped for new refrigerators before and I personally need much more fridge space than freezer....I love the french door design and top fridge open spaces...there doesn't seem to be enough door rack space for me but all in all the fridge is roomy. I didn't think I would like the bottom drawer style freezer but I haven't had a problem with bending forward to lift things out and I really like the sliding top rack and the compartments in it.

I have had this refrigerator for 2 months now. I love the size and appearance of it. It holds so much in refrigerator and the freezer drawers. It is very bright inside and has a "ramp up" lighting feature that nice. Smudges and fingerprints clean up easily with no streaking. (I was worried about stainless for that reason) My only disappointment is the ice maker. It makes a small amount of ice at a time. The cubes are a new rounded shape. It also is quite noisy when the cubes do drop because our hopper is empty all the time. I have had trouble with the ice maker not making any cubes at all and it had to be reset each time. As of yesterday, I can not seem to get the ice maker reset and a service man will be out tomorrow to see what the problem is. Overall, the refrigerator is extremely roomy and aesthetically pleasing and looks great with my other Frigidaire appliances.
